I am becoming more comfortable and effective in communicating in Spanish. Last night at dinner the waiter was trying to describe something to us with difficulty, ocassionally using English, I told him to just use Spanish. From then on our conversation went smoothly. To me this is very exciting!

Zooming taxi rides through the congested streets of Guatemala, yellow-line passing on the winding mountain roads, wave-jumping water taxies speeding you to a lakeside detination, fast-talking hucksters trying to separate you from your money...

but we're in no hurry to return home soon!

Linda says Guarenala is "candy for the eyes." She is impressed by the beautiful landscape and the warm Spring weather. Loves Antigua and the friendly people. We leave tomorrow but will return to Antigua for four days later. She likes seeing the places that I fell in love with during my stay last year.
